Tokelau
|
|
Tokelau, located in the Oceania, is a group of three islands with the smallest economy in the world. The economy of Tokelau is based largely on subsistence agriculture and fishing. Main agricultural products include coconuts, copra, breadfruit, papayas and bananas. Some livestock including chicken and goats are raised. A lot of citizens live in New Zealand and send remittances to their families in Tokelau to support them financially. Local industries of Tokelau are small-scale enterprises for copra production, wood work, plaited craft goods, stamps, coins and fishing. |
